The Osprey Oaks CDD encompasses an area of approximately 86 acres within the boundaries of unincorporated Palm Beach County, Florida. The land within the District is generally bounded by Jog Road to the west and is located south of Hypoluxo Road. The Osprey Oaks CDD was established to finance and manage the construction and maintenance of the public infrastructure PUD development, which includes roadways, a network of lakes, storm drainage, water and sanitary sewer systems that will provide service to single-family dwellings and condominiums.
A Community Development District (CDD) provides the 'solution' to Florida's need to provide valuable community infrastructure generated by growth, ultimately without overburdening other governments and their taxpaying residents. CDDs represent a major advancement in Florida's effort to manage its growth effectively and efficiently. This allows a community to establish higher construction standards, meanwhile providing a long-term solution to the operation and maintenance of the community's facilities.
